Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Pokerlog is a poker session tracker for iPhone made by an independent developer. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.

The short version

Data stored on your iPhone

Everything you enter (sessions, places, tournaments, recorded hands, bankroll operations, limits and reminders) is stored locally on your device. It is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) under Apple's terms. Pokerlog does not run a server that receives this data.

Smart Hand (voice entry)

When you dictate a hand with Smart Hand and tap Send, the audio recording is sent to OpenAI to be transcribed and turned into a structured hand. Nothing is sent before you tap Send. The recording is not linked to your identity. OpenAI processes it under its API data usage policies.

Suggest an Idea

If you suggest a feature or vote for one, the idea's text and your vote are stored in a public iCloud database run by Apple. You are identified only by an anonymous identifier that iCloud creates for this app; Pokerlog never sees your name or Apple ID.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple. Pokerlog receives only the status of your purchase from the App Store, never your payment details.

Notifications

Reminders and responsible play notifications are scheduled on your iPhone. No notification content is sent to a server.

Export and sharing

When you export sessions to CSV or share a hand, the file goes wherever you choose to send it.

Children

Pokerlog is not directed at children and is intended for adults who play poker where it is legal.

Deleting your data

Delete sessions and hands in the app, use Settings → Erase All Data, or delete the app. To remove an idea you suggested, delete it from its page in Suggest an Idea.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
